BLONDE AMBITION

I just started reading Blonde Ambition this week, and it's not a book with quality text, more of a fluff book, that's really easy to read and you don't have to think about what's happening very much at all. But I'm enjoying having a break after reading the depression of "Give a Boy a Gun."
Like I said, I haven't read very much of this book, so I haven't really gotton to know much about the characters. But here's what I know. Anna is the intern and Ben's girlfriend. She snuck off to a hotel with him, but she says she wants the best for herself and her sister, Susan, who is off to rehab and hates her dad for breaking her and her boyfriend up. Anna had also previously had another relationship with Ben, but it ended one night on his boat, where they spent the night together, but before Anna could wake up, Ben had left her. Right now, they're on the boat again,"making new memories" and Anna just woke up, Ben was gone again, so Anna got really freaked out, but as soon as she got up to leave, Ben came down the stairs with breakfast.
Ben thinks he's in love for the first time with Anna and never wants to be away from her. But, he's a rule breaker, so i don't know how long this relationship is going to last for them. I also think that he loves Anna and other girls because of their physical apperence, and not their real character.
Cammie is the daughter of the producer of the show that Anna is interning at and is the powerful one of the story. She's a snob and thinks that everything revolves around her, and she has an evil stepmother, that she deserves. Anna is also high matinence just like Cammie but she's a better person at heart.

I like your description of the book as "fluff." Fluff is good sometimes, as you pointed out, because sometimes you need a read that isn't quite as heavy. I think of them as the sitcoms, or soap operas of books :) Your description of the characters is very detailed, and it seems that you have picked up on a lot even though you have jut started the book. You'll have to update us to let us know if it gets any more "challenging." Enjoy your "beach read." :)
